Position: Children's Support Worker

Standby24 is currently hiring dedicated individuals for various children's support worker positions. We offer flexible shifts within supported living units, residential settings, and other care environments. Our focus is on providing support to young people with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, mental health issues, challenging behaviour, and child exploitation. Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As a children's support worker, your primary responsibility will be to deliver excellent care and support tailored to the specific needs of each individual on a daily basis. This will involve providing practical and emotional assistance to enable them to lead as normal a life as possible. You should have previous experience in managing shifts and taking charge of plans. Availability to work on bank holidays and some weekends is required. Effective communication and maintaining confidentiality while liaising with service users, families, and others is vital. Additional responsibilities include supporting service users with meal preparation, laundry duties, cleaning, and washing. Detailed and clear daily observations are expected to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
• Minimum of 6 months of work experience in complex needs care within the UK (essential).
• Verifiable references covering a period of 3 years without any gaps (essential).
• Overseas police check, if required.
• Possession of a full driver's license (preferable).
• Level 3-5 qualification in Health and Social Care (preferable).
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service and a clean criminal record.
Job Details:
• Job Type: Temporary Contract.
• Salary: £20 – £25 per hour, depending on experience.
• Shifts: Long days, long day sleeps/waking nights.
