Our focus is providing practical and emotional support to individuals with diverse and complex needs –specialising in mental health, learning disabilities, Autism & challenging behaviours. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism specialist Support Worker, your role will consist of delivering exceptional, person centred care and support.
· Providing practical and emotional assistance – helping the individuals we support to lead as normal a life as possible.
· Expectations to manage shifts and follow care plans.
· Availability to work on bank holidays and some weekends.
· Effective communication and maintaining confidentiality while liaising with service users, families, and others.
· Detailed daily observations are expected to ensure of comprehensive care.
· Calmness under pressure, particularly when faced with challenging or confrontational behaviour.
· A solid understanding of the challenges faced by service users.
· Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
· Build and maintain rapport with young people, their families or carers.
· Additional responsibilities include supporting service users with meal preparation, laundry duties, cleaning, and washing.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Female.
· 2+ years of experience in the UK as a support worker -Complex mental health/ Autism, learning disabilities.
· Full time availability.
· Eligibility to work in the UK – no restrictions.
· Hold a valid PMVA Certificate.
· Full UK driver’s license & access to a car (preferred).
